1 Freedom-Drive I™
Freedom-Drive I™ offers outstanding traction and all-weather confidence. Under normal conditions, the majority of the engine power is sent to the front wheels. However, unlike the majority of four-wheel-drive systems, Freedom-Drive I does not require front-to-rear slippage to be detected before it transfers power. If the driver asks for extra power, Freedom-Drive I responds by automatically transferring up to 60% of the engine torque to the rear wheels as needed to maintain traction. For more severe conditions, the driver can engage the "4WD LOCK" T-handle to effectively lock the front and rear axles together for maximum low-speed traction. This electronic system also contributes to enhanced fuel economy by operating only as required.
2 Continous Variable Automatic Transmission (CVT2)
Continuously Variable Transmission has no gears, so it doesn't shift conventionally. Instead, it employs a system of two pulleys connected by an immensely strong steel-spined, steel segmented, vee belt for a smoother, quieter, more efficient driving experience. Because the CVT2 allows the engine to run at the optimum combination of speed and throttle opening, it provides the best fuel economy for the power requirement.
3 Auto/Stick™
Auto/Stick™ is a driver-interactive automatic transmission shifter that provides clutchless manual shifting.
4 Electronic Stability Program (ESP™)
Electronic Stability Program (ESP)* is a computer-controlled system that is automatically activated to help the driver maintain control of the vehicle. The computer uses inputs from a steering wheel angle sensor, yaw rate sensor and a lateral acceleration sensor and compares the input to the drivers intended course. Corrections are then made using the anti-lock brake system and traction control plus throttle modulation to help control oversteer and understeer conditions.
5 Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM)
As part of ESP™, this system anticipates the potential for wheel lift by monitoring the driver's steering wheel input and the speed of the vehicle. When Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM) determines that the rate of change of the steering wheel angle and vehicle's speed are sufficient to potentially cause wheel lift, it applies the appropriate brake and may reduce engine power to lessen the chance that wheel lift will occur. ERM will only intervene during very severe or evasive driving manoeuvres.
6 Child Seat Anchor System (LATCH)
LATCH-ready, includes mounts for two compatible aftermarket child seats in the second row and one in the third row.
7 Electronic Vehicle Information Centre
Electronic Vehicle Information Centre is equipped with customer programmable features including language, U.S./Metric measures, door locks, memory (if equipped), Remote Keyless/Illuminated Entry, headlamp and wiper functions, service intervals, compass/temperature display and trip computer.
8 HomeLink® Universal Transceiver
Three channel HomeLink® Universal Transceiver* that allows you to open or close your garage door or turn on interior or exterior house lighting from the comfort and security of your vehicle. Not compatible with all garage door openers. See your retailer for details.
9 Tire Pressure Monitoring Warning System
The system includes pressure sensor modules that are integrated with the valve stems of all four road wheels. Each module sends continuous radio frequency signals to a receiver and informs occupants via a a low pressure warning indication is shown in the instrument cluster when the pressure is too low in one or more tires.
10 UConnect™
The UConnect™ Voice-Activated Hands-Free Communication System uses Bluetooth™ technology to transfer calls between your compatible Bluetooth-enabled cellular phone and the onboard receiver. Using advanced voice recognition technology, UConnect allows you to make and receive calls completely hands-free. A microphone picks up the vehicle occupant's voice, while incoming calls are broadcast through the radio speakers. During use, UConnect commands are shown in the radio display.
11 GPS Navigation
The available satellite navigation system offers full screen map display with vehicle location and route guidance features, turn-by-turn distance in feet or metres, turn-by-turn screens will pop up in the navigation display in the radio head, upcoming events such as street names and required turns along your route, points of interest on your route and the ability to store favourite routes and locations. The available Integrated Control Unit (ICU) includes a colour display screen with Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display (TFT LCD) technology for easy viewing during daylight or at night. 12 SIRIUS™ Satellite Radio
